Remembering Some Leaders… and Creating Some.

Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Ashok Vihar celebrated the 70th anniversary of India’s independence with great zeal and splendour to instill in the students the fervour of patriotism and to sow the seeds of courage, compassion and wisdom- the traits of our martyrs.

The event was graced by Mr France K Morule, the High Commissioner of The Republic of South Africa as the Chief Guest and Dr. Kavita A Sharma, the President of South Asian University as the Guest of Honour. The Chairman of the school, Sardar Surjit Singh ji and Vice Chairperson, MsRasna Singh were also present among the other esteemed guests. The hoisting of the tricolour with resonate tunes of the National Anthem filled the air with the spirit of freedom. Jashn-a-Azadi-A window into New India, an embodiment of how present generation is striving to reach the pinnacle of glory vis a vis programmes like SwachthaAbhiyan, Digital India, Make in India and many more was the highlight of the day which was followed by the Investiture Ceremony. SarthakDhawan and Himakshi Sharma of class XII were sworn in as the Head Boy and the Head Girl respectively. The honourable Chief Guest urged the members of the newly inducted School Council to explore the world beyond, which is only possible by emerging as leaders with competence and skills.  The School Principal, MsRashmi Mehta motivated the students to shoulder responsibilities and strive for attaining higher pedestals thereby leading the country to the path of success.
